Builders open model patio homes in Imperial Sugar LandThe first garden-style patio homes are taking shape in Imperial Sugar Land with openings of model homes by Sittlerle Homes, Darling Homes and Partners in Building. “There’s a tremendous demand for a new, low-maintenance lifestyle homes in Sugar Land, particularly with those who currently live in the area,” Shay Shafie, general manager of Imperial Sugar Land, said in an announcement. “We’ve seen tremendous demand from area residents from the moment we announced our builders and the momentum hasn’t slowed down one bit.” Imperial will consist of 116 patio homes, some with waterfront views, and 27 townhomes. The homes are priced from $500,000 to $1 million. Sitterle Homes has sold close to half of its 37 garden homes in the master-planned community located at Texas 6 and U.S. 90A. The Madrid II model showcases a design inspired by the Hill Country, with an open concept floor plan and gourmet kitchen.The model contains three bedrooms and four baths, a study, game room, wine grotto, ample storage. The plan offers a covered patio and a three-car garage. The Darling Homes model, announced last week, features a Mediterranean design with a rotunda entry, gourmet kitchen, spacious living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and outdoor entertaining space with a custom fireplace. The Partners in Building Porto Fino model features a Great Room with exposed beams and stacked stone, a spacious dining room and morning room with gourmet kitchen, and a master suite and spa bath opening to a large courtyard, a Casita bedroom and an outdoor kitchen. Imperial Sugar Land is being developed by The Johnson Development Corp. The new garden section is close to the the weekly farmers market in the community’s historic district and Constellation Field, home to the Sugar Land Skeeters.
